Country PR Girl is a PR and media relations service for country-rooted brands, including farm shops, independent food and drink producers, country lifestyle brands, and rural businesses across the UK. Founded by Hannah Bartlett, an accredited PR professional (CIPR), based in Devon, UK.
-
I work with any brand rooted in country, including farm shops, food and drink producers, country fashion and lifestyle brands, rural tourism businesses, and founders who want to build their own profile in the press.
-
We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.
-
Depending on your brand's needs, this can include media list building, a PR strategy with key messaging and boilerplate, press release writing, targeted journalist pitching, brand and product PR, and founder visibility support.
-
No, Country PR Girl is a PR-only service, focused on media relations and press coverage, not social media management.
-
My focus and media knowledge are UK-based, so I work primarily with UK brands.
-
I've placed stories with national outlets including the BBC, ITV, and The Telegraph, alongside regional and trade press relevant to each client's sector.
-
Get in touch to talk through your brand and what you need. From there, I'll put together a tailored proposal and quote.

Generally speaking, no PR professional should guarantee specific media placements, that is the journalist's decision. (Some agencies can offer this as they have widespread working relationships with journalists).
What I do guarantee is a strategic, targeted approach: the right journalists, the right story angles, and consistent follow-up.
-
It varies depending on your goals and the story itself, but generally you can expect the groundwork (media list, strategy, key messaging) to be in place within the first few weeks, with pitching and outreach following straight after. Press coverage can land within days of a strong pitch, or take longer if we're waiting for the right moment or news hook. I'll always be upfront about realistic timelines from the start.
-
A retainer is ongoing monthly support, ideal if you want consistent media relations and visibility over time. A project is a one off piece of work with a clear brief and deadline, such as a press release and pitching campaign around a launch or award. Both include the same level of care, just different shapes depending on what you need.
-
Both. Some of my favourite work is with founders just starting to build their profile, alongside more established brands wanting to maintain momentum. What matters more than size is having a clear story and being ready to put the work in.
-
I'm based in Devon and work with brands across the whole of the UK. Plenty of my work is remote, so location isn't a barrier.
-
As involved as you want to be, but some input is always needed, particularly at the start. I'll need your story, your goals, and your voice to do this properly. Once the strategy and messaging are set, day to day pitching and follow up is handled by me.
-
Something specific, timely, or a bit unexpected. A new product launch, an award or milestone, a founder's personal journey, a seasonal angle, or something happening in your industry that you have a strong opinion on. If you're not sure whether your news is "big enough," that's exactly what a first conversation is for.
-
No. What you need is a clear story and a genuine willingness to be visible. I work with brands at different stages and scale the support to fit.
-
We'll have a short, no pressure conversation about your brand and what you're hoping to achieve. From there I'll put together a tailored proposal so you know exactly what's included and what it costs before committing to anything.
